all screwed up.
Woke up at 4:30am. Took advantage of the hotel wi-fi, then trooped over to the train station to buy my TGV tickets, then to the local bakery, then back to the hotel to dress and breakfast. Met my kind Canadian colleague and went on to an action-packed day of speaking Fast French, meeting an endless number of welcoming new colleagues, and learning all about...everything. Commiserated with my Anglo-Saxon counterparts (Canadian, British, and German) on long-winded French presentation styles. Hung out with the interpreters from Geneva and the woman opening up the Japan office - a Japanese woman married to a Filipino and resident in Manila for the past ten years. Happily accepted compliments on my ability to speak French, despite California accent.
Now wired and waiting for the sleeping pill to kick in.
Dude, I have no idea what you're doing there, and I'm too lazy to check out your archive. Work or study?
I've been to France once, and I don't have fond memories (we were robbed). I suppose it was an isolated incident (as opposed to South of Italy, where this kind of thing happens pretty often). Be careful though. It's a double-bitch when you get robbed in a foreign country.
