springtime (still)

During my daily strolls I see people starting to work in their gardens...I think spring (and perhaps fall too) showcases Washington DC at its loveliest. Plus it's not too hot.

My walk this morning took me past Eastern Market, recently devastated by a fire. It looked awful. Janet and I had planned on pancakes there this weekend. Alas.

I'm excited, perhaps unhealthily so, to attend the Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival with mokey4. I'm sure my enthusiasm stems from a desire to show MoBob that American sheep are the best.

I keep trying to convince MB of this but he stubbornly refuses to believe me!

How sad, it looks like a great market. Where will you have pancakes now?

Believe me, sheep and wool festivals are many things, but exciting is not the descriptor I'd go with.

Some of the vendors have returned but I'm sure we'll just have to make do with homemade pancakes for the next while.

I was quite disappointed that there was no competition for sheepherding dogs!
