Yesterday was a snow day so we stayed home except for a couple of short excursions (MB to find out about his driver's license, and both of us to the local hardware store). It snowed and snowed, but it wasn't the fluffy picturesque snow in Aspen; this was hard, gritty, pellet-like snow. I read and slept and made a pan of brownies. The night before we braved the local grocery store and then made pizza. I was amazed that everyone was in panic stock-up mode for what amounted to less than an inch of snow on the ground.
Alas, today was a normal work day, although the snow was very pretty this morning and then the sun came out.
I really believe the travel gods have been smiling on me in this year away. Mild weather and blue skies for much of my time in China, blue skies again in Denmark when everyone was expecting grey and drizzle, an amazingly mild winter in England with just enough snow to keep the tourist happy!
