I'm always pleased when any news from Arkansas makes the national press. In my daily review of the Washington Post today's edition featured an article about scholarships for students in a depressed area of the state. When I first arrived I was a little surprised how few people I met had gone to college....
MoBob is settling in more quickly than I expected. He's already had several soccer dates and joins a 35+ league tonight. AND he got a job. At Fazoli's, a fast food Italian restaurant. He walked in with his letter from the Social Security Administration saying his SSN is in the mail and got into the training program. MB started on Monday, works as a trainee for two weeks, and then if he stays on he'll be rotating doing different things in the restaurant. As long as he's happy, I'm happy.
I'm just so glad he's here - last night we were in bed and he was diligently studying his TOEFL book with his headphones on for the accompanying test CD. My MohamedBob!
