Product tester for Eagle Creek. I’m a big fan of Eagle Creek luggage. I bought a couple of large wheeled duffel bags almost 10 years ago at a large discount because they were discontinued models. They have served me well during 3-4 international trips per year under arduous conditions (otherwise known as Africa). They haven’t been strapped to the back of a camel yet but I’m sure they’ll be sturdy enough. They're pretty pricey though, but I'll continue to scour ebags.com.

I was sad to see that there was a tear at the bottom of one of the duffel bags. I called up the Eagle Creek customer service line and not only got a live person right away but also found out that my bag is under the lifetime warranty, the repair itself is free, and I only have to pay shipping charges one way.

The latest addition to my CD wishlist is Olivia Ruiz’s La Femme Chocolat. I’ll overlook amazon.com’s error in the title heading as Anglophone ignorance, but the price makes me wince. It’ll probably be cheaper to buy the CD used off amazon.fr.

EDIT: How could I have forgotten? MoBob will be in France as of next Monday and he can buy it for me!

That does sound like great luggage. Maybe if you tell them the lengths to which you'll go to test their product they'll at least give you some free gear?

Hey, will he be in Paris? Any chance he can pick me up something? Or two somethings (books)?

He's flying to Marseilles, staying in the Montpellier area, and then flying via Paris to Atlanta. I don't think he'll exit the airport in Paris. But shoot me an email and I can forward it to him.

Hmm, the books I am looking for are from here:

And they have a Marseilles location, but I don't want to send MoBob running around.

Maybe I can route myself through Paris on the next trip...

Alternatively you can have them mailed to MB? He'll be there until the 20th.

I'll email them and see if I can save the 14 euros shipping if they are mailed locally.

Just took a look at the website - good thing MB is not ashamed of his feminine side!

Oh, that's what I meant to say - don't want to send MB running around to CRAFT STORES!

Well, it'll sure beat a lot of other things he's had to do, like buy female products.
