I've been busy with frantic holiday baking (peanut butter & oatmeal cookies) and setting up my Christmas tree. Unfortunately the movers had bundled the tree in two separate parts, and I can't find the upper third, so the tree looks oddly short. Especially since I put on all the ornaments. *wishing for a digital camera from Santa*
MoBob is enjoying himself in Morocco now that his village is no longer blocked by snow. I do hope he is working his way through the massive shopping list I sent him. Happily he is there to attend his nephew Hassan's wedding on Sunday. MoBob says he'll just have to dance without me. Eid will also fall around New Year's so I'll miss that too. Not to mention our (Moroccan) wedding anniversary!
We had our team Christmas lunch at Imagine which just opened in a swish new shopping center. The atmosphere was pleasant but the service was slow (even though there were few occupied tables); the Cajun sausage soup had a real kick to it and I liked the mixed green salad, and I shared the chocolate cream brulée with my seat mate. The dessert was OK. Not sure it was worth blowing Weight Watchers for.
Christmas plans: a party on Saturday evening, Christmas Eve with one family, and Christmas Day with another. Happy holidays, everyone!
