It's been raining on and off for the past week. At least it's not humid - right?
We went to see Fil-Am comedian Rex Navarette. I saw him perform once in California and I saw him in a restaurant in NYC. He rarely comes to the East Coast and when he does it's to Virginia Beach/Norfolk or NYC/NJ. So when I saw the ad for his fundraiser for Fil-Am vets I knew we had to go. He definitely did not disappoint, and MoBob enjoyed himself too. How wonderful and inspiring to see over 200 Pinoys, including Embassy folks and local politicians, squeezed into a night club in Georgetown to hear a middle-aged guy who resembled everyone's Tito crack jokes about farts. In other news, Z went on more playdates. Our Mothers' Day pontoon cruise on the Anacostia was cancelled due to inclement weather. I attended a DC education summit. I'm sad that our favorite librarian, Mr. Josh, is moving to another library. I was happy to hear a member of our congregation, who'd served in Peace Corps with his wife, spent part of his talk on spiritual experiences in Morocco.
We love the little park in our neighborhood.
Making progress on two wheels.
We set up the Ramadan countdown garland.
Z gave a talk at church.
First Nats game of the season - Superhero Day.
