The last couple of weeks have been busy. I'm finally seeing signs of spring - birdsong, blooms, and later sunsets. And tourists!
The Air and Space museum hosted a special night for DC schools.
Harlem Globetrotters for MoBob's birthday!
Royal Air Maroc organized a kids' party.
The calendar says spring but the weather says Snow Day, indoors and outdoors.
I had Aspiring Mormon Women friends over for snacks. I visited the Mayor's office for an event on the school budget. I participated in a networking event for young women leaders from Japan, most of whom were born after my exchange visit there in 1986. Z attended a birthday party for three little friends, and then we went to see the Washington Ballet's "Peter and the Wolf."
We dug out our rackets for Z on kids' tennis day at Haines Point.
We did not march, but we donated toiletries to visiting supporters, contributed to the March for Life fund, and attended a fundraiser reading of "Church and State" to benefit Sandy Hook Promise. My friend Jjana spoke on the panel about art and activism afterwards, sitting between the national coordinator for MSD (Parkland) alumni assocation and a journalist from Think Progress.
