Unfortunately our holiday weekend was marred by an accident. We were on our way from dropping a meal off at one family's home and on our way to another when we were rear-ended on the freeway. Luckily we were all unhurt, even though the back windshield shattered all over Z. I am thankful that we all stayed calm, for the two young Palestinian men who sheltered us in their warm car while entertaining Z, for the kind emergency response personnel who fulfilled Z's dream of riding in an ambulance with sirens, for the emergency room staff who distributed gifts to everyone in the waiting room, for our friends who came through for us...that is the spirit of the holiday season for me.
MoBob attended the holiday show at school.
We visited the Washington DC Temple and thanked the genius sister missionary who gave Z a little star to persuade him to pose for the photo. Pro tip: visit the festival of lights on a Monday when the rest of the world is doing family home evening. Z called the big white building the temple, not the mosque - thank you Nursery teachers!
Z's classmates' birthday party was held at Chuck E. Cheese. Z and MB are playing "Alouette" on Guitar Hero.
All the kids in the emergency room reception area got presents. Z received a Lego set and a Roald Dahl book.
The gold dinosaur from mortuus made everyone feel better.
Christmas Eve was a good time to break out all the glam.
Santa brought a lot of Super Hero books.
Christmas ended with a quiet dinner at Founding Farmers.
Then on Boxing Day we built an airport.
I'm so glad you are okay after the accident!
I love all the pictures of your life that you share with us. I don't comment as often as I should anymore - but I always look at them and marvel at how amazing a mother you are. :)
Happy Christmas - let's hope 2017 is better than this past year. *hugs*
