MoBob left for South Africa without any problems and is now enjoying the southern spring/summer. Last weekend Z and I went to the theater together and on my own.
We visited the Kennedy Center to watch Elephant and Piggie We're in a Play! in the Family Theater. We have read the Pigeon books but not E&P but it was still fun. I was surprised though that it was a very traditional set-up, i.e. a theater full of wriggly kids in seats. The performances we've seen with other theater groups have been very kid-friendly, with everyone sitting in a circle and asked to participate at several points.
That afternoon we went with our friend to Tanger Outlets to look for a work bag. It was the first we've visited and I was surprised that the shopping center is outdoors, despite the crisp weather.
On Sunday evening, Akeelah and the Bee at Arena Stage. Even though Arena Stage is only a couple blocks away, we'd only been there once, and that was for karaoke. Akeelah was definitely a "feel good" show and I wish it had gone a little edgier since the plot centered on a lot of important race and class issues.
We went to church for the first time in the new chapel and had our photo taken for the ward Facebook page.
