I think I've figured out why I'm so discombobulated.
I'm back in America, where I grew up and where I'm a citizen and whose accent immediately identifies me anywhere in the world.
But I'm in a completely new city, state, and region.
And I haven't lived in the US except for annual vacations for the past 7 years.
So while I already know Starbucks and Wal-Mart, I've been struggling with figuring out a cell phone plan and applying for credit cards and looking for housing.
I haven't done housework in 7 years, folks.
Life in Little Rock itself is such a new experience - the way people talk, the cityscape, the river, the attitudes, the weather.
Happily, I now work in a place where the ice-cream truck comes every day at 2:30pm.
