We had a pleasantly quiet Christmas season. We attended a Christmas Eve Service for the Young & Young at Heart at the local Methodist church, and then on to J and R's house for a real family (in spirit if not by blood) dinner. On Christmas morning we opened presents and attended two open houses. I totally forgot that Baby Z has Christmas PJs! And they will be too small for him next year. Oh well.
The past few days have been full of small accomplishments: working on a commercial agriculture in Pakistan document; dropping off a swing for one expectant family and a meal for a new baby family; meeting a dear friend and her family for brunch; reading through magazines; going through Baby Z's clothes in storage. I am happy to report that one onerous project is now finished. Last fall/winter, in my pregnant state, I took out all the photos from our photo albums, labeled each one, and sent them off to be scanned. I finally finished organizing the loose photos by year and stored them all in a photo box. Now there's just the painful task of labeling and filing the digital photos, on Dropbox and on CDs in the safe.
