A classmate from grad school had linked to an article from Brain, Child magazine, and I was intrigued enough to check out the website/blog and then to subscribe. The current issue has an essay called "Is She Yours?", about a mother and child who don't "match" and all the associated identity politics. Baby Z sometimes looks like both of us, or neither of us. That's just his physical experience - we haven't even delved into the language question. I'm curious what language his first words will be in. In his short life he's already been exposed to four or so: English, French, Arabic (Moroccan dialect and Modern Standard Arabic), and Visayan.
Out of curiosity I googled "Filipino Moroccan" and came across an actress/singer whose parents met in Switzerland, and a website called EthniBabies which did feature a gorgeous pair of Filipino-Moroccan kids.
