I was disappointed today when the other couple with whom we've been discussing a nanny share arrangement *since February* decided not to commit because their timeframe is different. So now we (or, rather, I) am in full panic mode. I shouldn't be, since we have a shot at a place in the daycare center at work in September, and MoBob reassures me that we could find a nice Moroccan lady to look after Baby Z in the meantime, and I know that there's a lot of availability and turnover in July/August. MB promised to research childcare near his office, where there are a lot more possibilities. But still. I was hoping to start working from home after July 4th and have something in place by then.
We had the two month appointment at the pediatrician's today, and poor Baby Z got two big shots. He's doing very well otherwise. Then we visited MB's office where everyone cooed and hugged Baby Z. Baby Z didn't cry once despite all the new faces and attention. We ended with a visit to Costco. Surprisingly Costco was as crowded on an early Wednesday afternoon as any Saturday.
