Heck, if I were Bassou, I'd be reluctant to leave my nest either. On our microwave I've posted an article from the WaPo on squirrel nests. Doesn't this look so enticing?
I imagine this is how Bassou is settled in. Sometimes I wish MoBob and I slept this way, but I know for sure we don't. We go to sleep as nested commas and end up as slashes and angles. I can't sleep on my back or my tummy anymore; but MB does, and sometimes I find him on his stomach and propped up on his elbows. I try to sleep on my left side, so as to avoid obstructing blood flow, but that also means that my left arm or leg (or both) falls asleep and feels tingly. Then I try to shift over to my right hand side, but that requires such effort that it feels like turning the Titanic ahead of the iceberg. Now that I get up 2-3 times a night to go to the loo, I have to deal with additional gymnastics. I'm not sleeping as well as I'd like. Some friends have suggested those full-body pillows, but with only a couple of weeks to go, I might as well just deal. At least I'm getting some sleep, and now with working from home I can nap during the day. I won't have that luxury for much longer, methinks.
