Surprisingly and thankfully, for living in a neighborhood called "Waterfront" and only a few hundred meters from the Washington Channel, there wasn't any flooding or electricity outages. The only real drama is getting panicked texts from my mom and asking MoBob never to leave me again during pregnancy. My visiting teacher and home teachers have been great about checking up. One of folks on the coop listserv said we're on the same grid as Ft. McNair and the US Coast Guard HQ and that's why the lights stayed on. Regardless...thinking of NYC and NJ.
USG is closed again today, so I'm going to work on Bassou's baby book, and finish up the most tedious task of pulling photos from photo albums so I can send them to a company for scanning.
