I share a recurrent cough, plus allergies, with MoBob, so when the cough came back over the weekend, I took some of his prescription cough syrup. He'd warned me that the cough syrup knocked him out. It did the same to me - I felt that I spent most of Sunday sleeping in oblivion. I distinctly recall trying to wake myself up several times, and not succeeding. I still feel a little out of this morning. I'm sure it didn't help that I topped up on OTC painkillers as well because of my knee.
Since I spent most of the weekend asleep, I didn't do much, except try to sort out the impossible basement. On Sunday evening I managed to rouse myself to join some of my Peace Corps training group friends for dinner. Even though we don't see each other often, when we do it doesn't feel like 1993 was so long ago.
I think I'm one of the few Americans who didn't watch the finale of Lost last night. MoBob insisted on watching Celebrity Apprentice instead.
No spoilers. Just kind of an overview of the last 6 years and the cultural influence of 24. But I'm sure the segment will be more meaningful after the finale! Our TV is in the bedroom, so when MB watches 24, I end up watching it too.
