MoBob had his citizenship interview today, and he passed! Woo-hoo! After miles of paperwork, several hundred dollars in fees, and drilling questions like "what is the rule of law?"
His five questions were:
And his written statement was "The people elect Congress."
He still has to submit our 2010 taxes and proof that we've been at the same residence for the past few years; otherwise, he's waiting for his swearing-in ceremony date. And we should have a party!
I don't even understand what the second question means, so I guess US citizenship is out for me. I did pretty well on the others, though.
I got four of the five Mexico states, and I knew the other questions.
I'm embarrassed to see that I don't think I could pass a US citizenship test.
Though I think sooner or later, Texas will secede from the Union again so I'll probably be okay. ;)
