I'm still tired from staying up til around 3am reading a mystery novel, which in the end was disappointing because while the culprit was identified and confronted, he was not brought to justice. Oh well. Regardless, I roused myself and visited the National Museum of American History. Thankfully the crowds have died down considerably - there weren't any lines to get into the museum or to any of the exhibits. I miss the pendulum and the sunstone. I liked the Vietnam War section of Americans at War which featured a fake living room complete with a wall of TVs and furniture covered in plastic.
On my way out I saw the end of the swearing-in ceremony for new Americans. I hope MoBob has a spectacular venue for his.
Tomorrow: 6am flight to Boston, then on to Cape Cod for the Exponent II retreat!
