Faithful readers may recall my numerous posts regarding the difficulty of finding fashionable, reasonably-priced clothes in my impossible plus-petite size. Petites usually stop at 14 or 16, and plus-size clothing always has to be altered to fit me. There are few retailers that carry plus petites. Off the top of my head I can only think of two - Talbots and JC Penney. There are a number of fashion blogs I like as well, particularly academichic, corporette, and goober. I like My Wardrobe Today but I didn't fall in love the way I did with Short and Curvy. I think it's because Bianca is a woman of color so I feel more comfortable with following her color choices, and her style is closer to mine - conservative with an ethnic/funky edge? I feel as if I've either already worn similar outfits, or that I have similar clothes but haven't worn them in the same combination as she has. Regardless, I feel inspired! (Though I think I'd still pick Ann Taylor over Talbots.) |

Wow! Thanks so, so much for posting these links. I struggle with fashion because I am not quite 5'2" and plus. |
