We've been watching the NHL play-offs. Only in America is MoBob thrilled that one of the Detroit Red Wings is named Justin Abdelkader.
I forgot to mention (since this is such a foreign concept) that I played in a doubles match on Saturday evening and we won. It was stressful and I'm not sure if I really enjoyed myself. Quite frankly, I don't want to do much beyond hit the ball back and forth. So we are now No. 1 in the league for our level and are looking toward the sectionals in August. Woo-hoo. Tennis in the heat and humidity!
I waited for my officemate's passport with the Pakistani visa and then had to scramble to get to her place before the taxi took her to the airport at 6:30pm last night for her 10pm flight to Dubai. I was happy to do this for her since she still had to pack (three laptops!) and her fiancé flew in the same day to see her off. Unfortunately the elevator acted wonkily - taking a long time to get between floors and then going up and down again - so other passenger and I decided to get off on whatever floor the door opened on next. So I ended up sprinting down several flights of stairs, showing him how to exit the building, then out to the Metro, and hoofing it to A.'s house. Whew.
