We are sitting up in bed and watching Superstars of Dance. Well, MoBob's watching TV and I'm looking at photos and videos from last night's Caps win against the Rangers. Though it's a huge disappointment that Ovie wasn't voted in for the all-star game, the slap fight was still pretty amusing. Wish we could've been there!
I forgot to mention how we spent our 6th wedding anniversary: takeout Chinese food, Talladega Nights: the Ballad of Ricky Bobby, and watching the coverage of New Year's Eve festivities in NYC. Talladega Nights was hilarious, I think because there were a lot of reminders of Little Rock and of French people who resemble the villain Jean Girard.
I'm trying to relax since I already know tomorrow will be a busy day, with an earthquake in Indonesia, another earthquake in Afghanistan, and a typhoon threatening the Philippines. I had a quiet week last week so I guess it's my turn to be busy.
ETA: this is a better video of the fight, with an excerpt from the Christmas Story movie at the end.
ETA: OK, I am way too obsessed with the slap fight.
Did you like Superstars of Dance? I just finished watching it as well, and I couldn't help thinking that some of just didn't quite qualify as dancing. I'm thinking specifically of the American couple. Very impressive lifting, but now really dancing.
Happy Anniversary :)
I wasn't really keen - I thought it was too confusing to switch back and forth between different categories (group vs. individual vs. pair) and a lot of the performances weren't directly comparable (like tango vs. hip-hop). M will probably continue watching it but I'll pass.
