I've already mentioned that my new position is in a more formal office. Not a completely suits environment, but definitely dressier than where I was before. Of course I use this as an excuse to buy more clothes, especially since I've grown out of a few items, namely my grey pinstripe slacks and skirt from Kaspar which were my fall/winter reliables for the past decade. Yes, Ann Taylor and Ann Taylor Loft are a bit pricier but with the sales and coupons and free shipping I've gotten some serious deals. Another reason I regularly check the websites is because they stock 18/XXL and you can sort by size. I no longer have to have a heartbreaking moment where I find a cute item only to see that it's only available in S. I used to be a fan of Talbots (also good sales) but now that I'm older I'm trying to look the least stodgy possible. The only problem with AT and ATL is that, in Washington DC at least, "everyone" shops there. Just this morning I saw someone on the metro with this skirt:
($37.08 - originally $89)
In the end, a disincentive to lose weight.
