Dead tired, because I'll be on vacation for the next two weeks and I need to finish up by Friday PM and I have a colleague here from Lyon whom I'm accompanying to meetings. Today was pretty cool though. Since my colleague is a biomedical engineer specializing in prosthetics and orthotics, we visited Walter Reed Army Medical Center. We saw all the facilities mentioned in this WaPo article.
It was impressive and heartbreaking at the same time. Impressive because of the high-technology and comprehensive medical care. Heartbreaking because everyone was so young. Hence the prosthetic foot with attached rollerblade wheels.
