Today Brussels will be paralyzed by an invasion of angry farmers. I was trying to find out more on the morning news and discovered that while RTBF, the French language state run media, has a regular morning show that I was already familiar with from TV5, the most useful channels were actually live shots of talk radio. So the screen shows a room full of radio journalists talking into their microphones in a studio somewhere. It was a little disconcerting. We are in a conference center in a residential area of town so I'm sure we won't be unduly affected unless the demonstrations last until rush hour.
This far north the sun doesn't set until around 10pm or so which makes for late nights walking around the main square eating waffles. Incriminating photos to follow.
