I managed to sleep until 5am and actually feel OK - perhaps because I finished MoBob's Mountain Dew this morning. We stayed up a little late working on his grad school application essays. The one for University of Maryland asked, "How will you contribute to the legacy of the Robert H. Smith School of Business?" Well, we spent a chunk of time looking for "the legacy" on the school's website and couldn't find it.
When I applied to grad school 10+ years ago, it was very different. Everything was paper-based, including the GRE. I still have photocopies of my applications somewhere. It'll be weird to go back and look at what I actually wrote, especially the part about what I'd do with my degree.
It's cool though to work on projects like Buscapé in Brazil, which is a youth development center. Maybe I could swing a trip for next year's Carnival.
