I just had my fourth Diet Coke and I'm trying to resist grabbing another. I was up at 5am with MoBob and now I'm really feeling like crashing. Plus I think I'm getting a cold.
I'm not sure why I feel tired after any sort of physical exertion. I'm envious of the majority who feel better after working out. I'd rather take a nap.
After the big proposal push on Friday, I'm now catching up on emails and other odds and ends. Mainly getting ready for my trip to NYC next week. I haven't been to NYC for, oh, ten years. I won't have much time for sightseeing unfortunately. I asked MB if he wanted to accompany me especially with the $40 round trip fare on "the upscale bus" and the $99/night room at The Pod Hotel but he demurred.
I'm attending the parallel NGO forum and then the first day of a conference at the UN. I wasn't really impressed with the UN when I visited. It was so much shabbier than I expected, and way too retro for me. Perhaps now the public areas have been upgraded, post-Nobel Prize.
I used to be pretty active - playing tennis or swimming every day - but never got an energy rush. Even now, I walk everywhere, and get a guaranteed workout of 20 minutes each way to work, but I just feel tired. Blah.
