Washington Post: The New Face of Global Mormonism
I still feel uncomfortable about Utah Mormon culture imposed on congregations overseas.

Salt Lake Tribune: Hundreds of women sign online rebuttal of Mormon conference motherhood comments
I signed. Maybe at the ward Thanksgiving dinner the bishop will "check to see how I'm doing."

Last night we went to Restaurant Vincent, a traditional Belgian restaurant in the old quarter. It was crowded and loud, with white-coated waiters weaving their way to and from the service tables with plate heaters underneath. I had mussels with fries, then finished with a chocolate mousse. And of course walking around afterwards I had another Belgian waffle with whipped cream and strawberries. Absolutely heavenly. One of the groups near us was comprised of 20 or so people obviously celebrating something as different people kept toasting and drinking. They were florid, red-cheeked, Dutch-speaking Belgians - and I wondered if it would be more convenient if Belgium got a divorce.

Interesting article, because uniformity is what I like about the Catholic church, just like the congregants in Africa.

I listen to BBC world service podcasts at work, and the Belgium situation seems to be reaching a crisis point!

And yet you'd never know just walking around Brussels that anything is awry!
