I still have hopes of being a "sexy librarian" one day but I've definitely devolved into a "slovenly housewife." Really.
I spend most of my days doing the following:
* random housework
* sleeping in
* hanging with MoBob
* watching DVDs
* occasional lunches and dinners
* some shopping
* the library
* random appointments like seeing the dentist this morning
It's true that once in a while a project comes up where I am suddenly in a frenzy, as last week when the theme for the Sunscreams was "I am Thankful for Fish" and I scrambled to find a copy of Dr. Seuss' "One Fish, Two Fish" and gathering supplies to make fake aquariums cobbled together from paperplates and plastic wrap.
Otherwise I am feeling very relaxed and mellow. It's been a long time since I had any serious time off. Every time we return to the US it's an action-packed vacation. Even my few days in Paris was crammed with activity. I finally have time to breathe.
NB: Gmail is down. *shakes fist at Google*
Heh, I was realizing the other day that I, too, am a suburban housewife (the company I contract for hasn't had any work for me for nearly two weeks now). You can add in there "lunching with my other housewife friends" and you have my life. OMG, I am a "lady who lunches."
Well, and of course rollerderby at night. *grin*
