I finally made it to one of Little Rock's "cool" hang-outs: Sufficient Grounds. My friend Gertrude and I took off for a quick drive for lunch. In and out. I actually had visited one other time but SG was about to close, so this was my first excursion inside. The café/restaurant was very pleasant indeed, with a warm atmosphere, cozy chairs, and brightly colored walls. Perfect for the hipsters plugged in (or not, because of WiFi) with their laptops. Sure, it wasn't Café Milano in Berkeley, but close enough. We had the quiche and soup lunch special - veggie quiche and clam chowder. Yummy for an overcast day with freezing temps. One day I'll return with MoBob for a nice lunch.
My regular hangout as an undergrad:

I think the lights out front are definitely new, or newer than my last view of them. Even the facade looks different. I never spent that much time there anyway, (I was more a LaVal's denizen,) but it makes me miss that part of Berkeley that I was always too poor to appreciate properly at the time anyway.
