Living together is hard but one of the compensations is the pleasure of sleeping together. Not that all the time, but the joy of someone else’s warmth and reassuring weight next to one’s own body. MoBob and I are both heavy sleepers but I sense that after four years of marriage we have somehow accommodated each other’s sleep patterns. Often I wake and find that MB is clutching my hand, or that our bodies are perfectly spooned. MB is generous about my bedtime quirks – I always sleep nearest the window, I regularly throw off the covers, I snore like a barnful of cows, I like to brush my toes against his – and yet somehow never loses his good humor when it comes to bedtime.

Aw, that's way sweet. And I heard The Police singing "The Bed's Too Big Without You" on the way home from rehearsal tonight.
David and I generally don't touch each other while sleeping--I'm a light sleeper, and he's a hot sleeper.
