So far our holiday season has been pretty quiet compared to previous years. We haven't attended a sing-a-long. We started late on the Book Advent. We haven't even gone to see any light displays. At least we visited Santa over Thanksgiving weekend.
I went to a baby shower for a January baby and a winter afternoon wedding. We attended the Mini-Nut (an abbreviated version of "The Nutcracker" for kids) and Z was transfixed the whole time. Now he asks to see videos of "the wood man fighting the big mouse." Our school held a potluck called "A Taste of Pre-K." Our Relief Society celebrated the season with the annual book exchange. I gave away My Grandmother Asked Me to Tell You She's Sorry and received My Ántonia, which I'd read long ago in high school.
Someone is happy to receive his Primary Calendar in preparation for the Sunbeams class.
We finally decorated our tree.
My colleagues and I visited Winternational.
I visited the White House for a meeting and found an Elf with a Blackberry.
We attended MoBob's office party. Unfortunately his colleague did not win the ugly sweater contest.
Santa came early for one present, thanks to a colleague who was cleaning out the family basement.
MB and Z participated in the library's holiday crafting.
Mr. Josh is Z's favorite librarian.
I used my new laminating machine for Z's new transport toy in French.
We were jealous of the spacious playroom setting for "The Adventures of Mr. Bear."
Z "helped" MB with the spaghetti sauce for Sunday night dinner.
