May was an insanely busy month, and I can't believe we are already in June. That is to say, 2012 is almost half over!
I introduced Gail Hillebrand as part of the DC Cal Alumni Speaker Series. Though the event was off the record, she stayed with the PPT - though she made consumer issues a lot more engaging than one would expect.
Memorial Day weekend was pretty action-packed, and so was the week after. I've already posted about the Hawai'i Festival and the Lalla Essaydi exhibit.
On Sunday, we stepped outside and watched Rolling Thunder.

We watched Robert Siegel of NPR interview Gen. Colin Powell, who was wonderfully funny and gracefully demurred when an audience member asked him to run for president.

My dear friend from grad school, Maggie, was here for the US National Committee for UN Women's national conference. She brought a traditional souvenir from California - a box of See's Candy.
