On Sunday I met dear NS at Barney Greengrass for Jewish soul food, and then MB and I had Filipino fusion at Maharlika. Not sure why MB looks so reluctant - it's not as if we were eating fried chicken feet! We had tortang talong (grilled eggplant) and arroz caldo (chicken and rice porridge).
