We certainly got our fill of holiday festivity this weekend, even though we haven't gotten around to getting the tree up.
On Friday night, we went to see the lovely Elaine perform in Beertown. As per the participatory nature of the production, MoBob and I pretended to be newly-arrived resettled refugees. The play was an interesting meditation on memory and history - I really enjoyed it though it was long!
Then on Saturday afternoon we attended Paskong Pinoy which was pretty mellow compared to previous years. No food! No dancing!
Sunday afternoon found us at the annual holiday concert at the Atlas Theater. Surprisingly, though we've been to numerous events at the Atlas, this is the first time we've been to the community singalong. It was a lot of fun, especially with the high density of kidlets, and I'm glad that the choirs included two contemporary classics.
