Even though my trip to San Salvador was the quickest I've taken so far (two days in-country, and fairly straightforward travel via Miami, and only one hour time difference) I was as exhausted at the end as if I'd come from Jo'burg.
San Salvador was the most militarized city I'd ever seen. While it was hard to guess that there'd been a civil war if you just look at the infrastructure, it was hard to ignore the omnipresent, fully-armed security forces.
The pupusa lady.
Maybe inspired by Japanese manga?
