Faithful readers may recall that I'm a big fan of radio, and specifically a big fan of NPR. Of the myriad voices on NPR, I find two especially attractive: Jad Abumrad of RadioLab and Michele Norris on All Things Considered.

I wish I had a nice, sexy and (but?) authoritative voice. I think I sound kind of nasal, I tend to mumble, and when I speak French my voice goes up a register. :/

Huh. I've never listened to RadioLab but I've had two lj friends comment on it today. What are the chances? He doesn't seem to share your opinion, though.

Car Talk is one of my absolute favorites. I know nothing about cars, but I just love it :)

I saw them on a PBS documentary once and they looked very much different from each other. It was surprising.

My accent changes depending on locale.

I love NPR voices.

Sometimes when I'm in the car for a long period of time I'll listen to public radio. And during the afternoons here they'll re-broadcast NPR's 'All Things Considered'.

It's the most I ever learn about America, but I can't say I've ever even really thought about the sound of the voices.
