I'd won tickets from the The Onion A.V. Club to see The Little Shop of Horrors. It was a lot of fun - I would've paid to see this, and had in fact suggested we attend a performance for MoBob's birthday. I hadn't seen the movie or the musical before, and even though the original dated from the 1950s, the material was still hilarious. MB and I discussed afterwards whether, technically speaking, Little Shop was better than Young Frankenstein. I'd say LSOH was more impressive - hello, a live action, larger than life, carnivorous plant? I loved the rotating stage too, and the three Supremes who served as the musical's Greek chorus. The only downside was that the sound at some points wasn't very clear, so occasionally it was hard to make out the words. Surprisingly for a Monday evening the theater was packed.
