Hi Sylvia-- I'm the Blog Co-Editor at Segullah. I pulled the post down yesterday because we usually review controversial topics as a staff before posting them on the blog. The post will likely reappear at a later date but I want to examine it first.

I really hope the article gets re-posted. I still wrestle with the question of priesthood for women. I would like us to revert to the authorities and privileges Mormon women had in the early church, and what we have now in the temple. But I do understand what the original poster is writing about. Once I saw a Community of Christ photo of women General Authorities giving a blessing, and for some reason I had a negative, visceral, reaction. I don't know why, and it bothers me that I could feel that way.

This is really interesting - both about them pulling your post and your visceral reaction. [If you did an earlier post, I'm still working my way back...]

I wonder why there is such a reaction to it. Maybe it's so different from what your faith traditions have been telling you?

I don't know. I guess I've accepted it in theory but not so much in reality. Or perhaps I'm just not to used what a practical application would like look.
