I was sorely disappointed today, and in need of some positive reinforcement. So I'm going to be purely selfish, and ask you, dear friends and readers:
why do you like me?
I like you because you're a very positive person, with a rich life experience that you make interesting when you talk about it. You're kind, and I think you're a good person. Plus you were good enough to talk to me first, so you drew me out - an important skill. ;)
You're smart and informative without being boring. Kind of like Hermione with a personality. :)
You're kind and thoughtful and I like how you appreciate and take notice of seemingly ordinary things.
And finally, of all my live journal friends, you are definitely on the short list of someone I'd like to meet in person. :)
Hmm, sometimes it is hard to put such a thing into words. I just felt that we clicked right when we met. You are intelligent and I love intelligent friends. Am I a snob that way? Maybe. We both share a love of reading. It's fun to discuss books with you. I love your photos and adventure stories. I know I don't comment every time, but I really enjoy your writing style. I always read your lj every day.
*hugs* hope you feel better, what ever it is that's bringing you down.

You liked me first.
You tried to set me up (twice!) with friends of yours who themselves are decent, interesting people.
We share a common sense of what's funny, what's really funny almost to the point of tastelessness at times.
On those rare times I get to see you, it's like I never haven't seen you.
So many more qualities... My life would be poorer if I didn't have memories of hanging out with you in person, on the phone, or blue aerogrammes from Cameroon, or if I couldn't anticipate future chances to catch up with you when- and how-ever.
