What was I thinking? On the way home last night I feared the escalators and brick sidewalks.
But those are really fabulous boots! The chunk heel, the snubnose toe, the fabric, the simplicity of the boot overall with just a little, subtle detailing along the sides and at the top? C'mon, how could you say no? So *stylish*!
Also, PS, Filene's Basement is all famous and I've never been there and now that I see these boots I am even more jealous than when I read "I just nipped into Filene's Basement to grab a new pair of boots..."
You have to train your muscles to walk in them, just like in other shoes, basically. The classic advice with heels is to wear them around the house when you're doing your everyday stuff, for a half-hour, then an hour, etc etc. That always sounds like a lot of work to me, but it does work.
