clothing crisis

I'd packed so much extraneous stuff that I realized once I got into the hotel (after a heavenly 15 hours of sleep) that I have very few clothes. Argh.

The flight was OK. Once again, Delta wasn't so great. But now that I'm a Silver Medallion Elite status holder I get a few privileges, like boarding first. Nice.

Since I had a free day yesterday, I went to the House of the Comic Book which featured a character who looked like Tin-Tin, and there were quite a few Smurfs. Then on to the Fine Arts Museum where I saw (1) a lot of lesser works by famous artists and (2) imitations of famous works/artists by Belgians. That said, it was indeed a thrill to see paintings from Art History 10A-10B, like the Death of Marat and the Fall of Icarus, where I took great pleasure in finding Icarus' upturned legs. I definitely want to visit the Magritte Museum when it opens.

I'm also enjoying eating salmonella-free tomatoes.

I'd be more tempted if the dollar hasn't tanked so much.

www.onebag.com is my latest obsession. I'm going to try to get away with only my backpack during our apartment hunting trip to Chapel Hill next week.
