weather.com says that it will be raining pretty much all day today. My eyes still hurt, but I'm still functional, so of course due to my inability to relax I'm taking advantage by cleaning house. It's actually very calming and a welcome alternative to sitting in front of the computer all day, though I'm sad not to go to Balto.
My listening program for today:
* NPR (until 9am)
* BBC (NewsHour 9am-10am)
* then finishing up HP7:DH on CD
Monday I'm all alone in the office so barring any emergencies (ie colleagues still waiting for visas in Bangkok) I'll be able to catch up.
I'm now reading The Puzzled Heart by Amanda Cross. I'd read Reinventing Womanhood by Carolyn Heilbrun a long time ago as an undergrad but this is the first time I'd read an Amanda Cross mystery. I feel the same as when I read mysteries by P.D. James: how did these women manage, with their careers and families, to write such absorbing and intellectual thrillers?
