To celebrate Shakespeare's 444th birthday the Folger Shakespeare Library held an Open House. It's only a fifteen minute walk away, so we went. We missed the May Pole and the stage combat workout but enjoyed the other activities, including the birthday cake, and a special guest star.

It was a shame to cut it! (I had a photo too of several people carefully transporting the cake - everyone clapped when it was finally installed.)
