if I'm leisurely browsing through ice skates on sale instead of churning through my to-do list.
We finally went to the Ice Sculpture Ice-Skating Rink on Sunday. It was great fun - I really enjoy ice-skating - and MoBob improved vastly from our last ice-skating effort in San Francisco. That is to say, he managed to distance himself from the ranks of the wall-clutchers. The only downer was that at the beginning of our session someone had an accident, but for some reason the rink stayed open. The poor guy had to endure bleeding on the ice until the paramedics came surrounded by traffic cones and curious skaters.
Then on to Charlottesville on Monday, a very long day indeed, especially for MB. (We got an Subaru Intihar - apparently that means "suicide" in Arabic.) All I can say about UVA is: this does not look like a public school. Wow. I had a very productive and agreeable work session while MB visited Monticello. Afterwards my contact took us around to see some of the sports facilities. MB and I joked afterwards that the football stadium was bigger than the national stade in Ouagadougou.

Off topic, but I tracked all that area around UVA, I lived in Charlottesville as a missionary. And the Monticello, we called it suicide hill because whenever the missionaries came down the back side on bikes, one of them went to the hospital in an ambulance.
