E is for Europe.
I'm sad that I never made the big backpacking, rail pass trip through Europe. Even more irritating, we've had to pass through Europe at least twice a year for the past seven years, and heck, I was in Morocco for three years which was so so close.

Still, my travel record ain't so bad - just visits in short, work-related bursts:

Brussels (upcoming)
Ceuta
Edinburgh
Geneva
Helsinki
Istanbul
London
Lyon
Milan
Minsk
Montpellier
Moscow
Paris
Skopje
St. Petersburg
Tirana

E is for email.
Is there anything more lovely than an empty inbox?

Houseguest Heaven is closed for now, but much fun, especially finally meeting flemmarde. Blog friends are always better in 3-D.

I went to the doctor this morning. Everything's perfectly hunky-dorky, except that she suggested I get a mammogram. For a baseline. I feel old.

I had a baseline mammogram at 35 because of my family history of breast cancer. I was due back for my next one this summer, but oops--I got pregnant. So now I won't get one until weaning, fall 2009-ish.

Anyway, it was pretty uncomfortable, and I ended up being really glad that my breasts were floppier than they were before I had and nursed a kid. I think you and your still-perky pair are not going to enjoy it at all, tant pis. :(

I had my first mammogram at 32 and my latest last month. If you can, go to the newest, sparkliest imaging center your insurance covers. While the process is NOT pleasant, it's less unpleasant with newer equipment.
